Privacy Policy
Last updated October 23, 2026. Silk Travels is in private beta. This page explains, in plain language, what we collect on silktravels.tech and what we do with it.
What we collect
Your email address when you join the waitlist. The trip descriptions you type into the planner. Anything you choose to add to your founding-member profile or the travel-taste quiz (for example your name, travel habits, and feedback). How you arrived (referring site, campaign tags, and the invite code if a friend referred you). Basic usage analytics through Google Analytics, which uses cookies.
How we use it
To run the waitlist and invite founding members, to email you about the beta (every email has a one-click unsubscribe), to understand which trips people want so we build the right product, and to keep spam out of the waitlist. We do not sell your personal information.
Who processes it for us
Google Firebase (waitlist database), Google Analytics (site analytics), Google reCAPTCHA (spam protection; the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service apply), Cloudflare (hosting, and Workers AI, which generates trip previews from the text you type), and MailerLite (beta emails). These providers process data on our behalf to deliver the service.
Trip previews
When you plan a trip, your one-sentence description is sent to our server to generate the preview. If you do not sign up, we do not link that description to you. If you sign up, we save the description with your waitlist entry so we can follow up on that trip.
Retention and your choices
We keep waitlist data until you ask us to delete it or the waitlist closes. To see, correct, or delete your data, email [email protected] from the address you signed up with. You can block analytics cookies in your browser settings.
Children
Silk is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If we change how we use your data, we will update this page and the date above, and email waitlist members about material changes.
